Another New Year! While the new year may be exciting and full of potential – it is not a time of year that I am particularly fond of … but as I get older – I am learning to appreciate it.

I’m partly the other way – I don’t like winter but I like it even less as I get older.

I am told that age is a state of mind, and I have to agree. And yes, you do start to appreciate things once the years start to pile up that you didn’t when younger. I certainly appreciate being able to curl up with a good book on a cold and frosty winter afternoon and not feel guilty about leaving the garden to fend for itself!

Goodness, I thought I’d left a comment here. I’m sure it was something very deep and meaningful, but I can’t remember for the life of me what I intended to say. I think as I get older, I’m learning to appreciate the fact that I’m getting more senile by the minute.
