Back in the Studio

studio-desk

Back in the studio to-day, and I can assure you – my desk did not look this tidy this morning.  I had to spend the day sorting out the mess that I had abandoned there before Christmas.  Sometimes it seems that the smaller the piece of work – the greater the mess.

Why should that be?

  1. Are you working on a painting of pansies? If so, I have always wanted a painting like that. Love the whole picture above. Love it!

  2. I like seeing where people work, they have a seris in the saturday guardian (review section)that shows where people write/work. It is often interesting. It might have been fun to see a before and after picture!

I always find that the simplest/smallest jobs always turn out to take longer and make more mess than the bigger ones. I think it’s because you don’t think it will take long/be much work, so don’t prepare properly. It certainly is in my case anyway!

  4. Thanks for taking time to comment Anna, Rhiannon and Dobby.

Rhiannon – I also think it is quite interesting to see where people work – I think I will probably post more corners of my studio as the year progresses.

Anna – sorry not pansies …. but you have got me thinking!

Dobby – I love that you comment on all my posts on all my blogs.
