its beautiful Karen, I love all the subtle tonal changes of the leaves.
Not sure why you don’t like the whole piece, I think its wonderful.
The flowers remind me of Chaemoneles ‘Geisha Girl’

You are too hard on your work from the studio just like you are too hard on your assessment of the garden. I like the whole piece, even if it no longer resembles a duck billed platypuss!!
