Wind Turbine

I do hope you all had a Happy Easter Break.

Ours was fabulous, as the weather was so good

And we got loads done in the garden.

To-day I was out and about visiting

I know that I have posted a picture of wind turbines before

I do find them quite awesome

Especially when they seem to pop up over a mountain

And look at you, as you drive past.

  1. So all the good weather went to Wales for the Easter holidays! We finally got sun today after 3 days of mostly rain. Typical!

  2. Good weather by the Mersey too Karen especially on Easter Day and great for gardening. I would really like to see one of those structures close up. Do they make much noise ?

The glorious sun was out in North Wales all weekend. (It does make a change for a bank holiday!) 12 hours gardening and I painted my shed. It’s no longer an eyesore at the top of the garden:)
I used to pass wind turbines in my previous job. I’m still amazed at how big they really are. The centre bit can be the size of an articulated lorry!

  5. I’ve never seen a wind turbine in real life. How much to they glint and reflect the sun?

The thing which ‘makes’ this picture for me is the arm of the next one along poking over the top of the trees . . .

(If Dobby hadn’t mentioned the truck and scale, I would have thought is was a hedge.)

Don’t you think the centre bit looks a bit like a strange insect in your photograph?

I know they’re controversial, but I rather like them.
