Clematis montana ‘alba’

clematis

So lovely now that the evenings are drawing out.

And I can photograph the clematis in the garden

At 8 o’clock at night, without flash or tripod!

  1. This is the kind of white clematis I set out to buy . . . but I bought the Armandii instead. I don’t regret my purchase but, if I had a bigger garden, I would grow them both so there would be continuity in white clematis flowering. (The Armandii is over for this year!)

    • Esther, I like Armandii too, and it is on my wish list, for exactly the reason you mention.
      Thanks for dropping in.

  2. A real beauty at this time of year and often with the bonus of scent too. I have a pink one which I am going to try to photograph today when it stops raining 🙂

Could you use the Armandii with the Viburnam? If so, that is Christmas sorted out!

  5. Anna, Joy and Dobby – Hi and welcome.
Anna – hope it stopped raining enough for you to get a picture of your clematis.

Joy – it is the simplicity of this clematis that appeals to me – glad you liked the image

Dobby – err no, but thanks for the nice thought. 🙂
