Blackbirds in the Garden

We have several pairs of blackbirds in the garden,

Like robins – they are always close by when I am digging or planting.

(In case something tasty can be found)

Shedman has made them their very own fruit feeding station.

Well, you know what they say about

“An Apple a Day”

I’ve only seen them sitting on the top. Do they use the perches to the side? Has he patented the idea yet? Looks like a money maker to me.

  2. You have no squirrels then! Lucky blackbirds. My apples disappear after about an hour.

  3. A rather natty contraption which must make feeding easier for the blackbird. Mine have had to make do with cut up chunks but I feel inspired now to be inventive πŸ™‚

  4. Hi Dobby, Easygardener and Anna.
Some of the blackbirds use the side perches Dobby.

No, easygardener no squirrels here (the dog loves to chase them)

Anna – they do seem to rather enjoy the experience – enjoy your invention πŸ™‚ whatever it might be (lol)
