Echinacea – again!

echinacea

Another Echinacea without a label!

This is the first time this one has flowered, as I bought it as a plug plant at the end of last year.

I am so enamoured with Echinacea, that I have ordered some more plug plants for next year.

Who can resist names like “Hot Papaya”, “Tiki Torch” and “Tomato Soup”

I certainly can’t!

This is the year I fell in love with Echinacea. I’ve always had them, because I prefer native plants and the butterflies and birds love them. This year, however, I saw Fatal Attraction and Tomato Soup and fell in love. I’m beginning to collect several different varieties for my tiny garden. I don’t know where they will all go, but I’ll find room.

  3. Nice flower. Perhaps I should try Echinacea again and erect little anti slug traps around them. It is so depressing when they disappear.

    • Yes the slugs do love Echinacea – I think the solution is to grow as many as possible so that you dont notice a few losses 😉

A very simple but lovely plant. Are you sure it’s not a very pretty succulent that you have stuck some petals on to?

Beautiful! I looks kind of like the sunset echinacea I bought this year.
