A visual journal

Another lovely day and …

windflower

The insects in the garden were making the most of the warmth.

Every year I consider taking out these pink Japanese anemone

Then, like to-day I notice them back-lit by the late afternoon sun

And I know they will stay another year.

My anemone is slow to bloom. Last year it was just about to open…and then we had frost. Maybe it needs a little more sun than the dappled light it has been getting.

  7. I am sure that plants know when you are threatening them with dire actions and perform their special party tricks accordingly 🙂

  8. I love Japanese anemones – I’m encouraging mine to take over a bit of wilderness down at the bottom of my garden with mixed success. Yours are gorgeous … if you do ever pull them up, send them to me!
