Goldfinches

Windblown goldfinches

One of the benefits of all the wet weather

Is that the Goldfinches visit the garden to feed as the fields are too soggy.

For the last few days this pair have been regularly eating the Niger Seed

I hope they stay around when the rain stops.

  1. Your Goldfinches are so different from ours…but definitely just as sweet! Great capture. 🙂

  2. Dobby

A bit prettier and I’m sure not as noisy as the sparrows!

  3. I like Goldfinches but haven’t seen them for over a year. I have to make do with a gang of mixed Tits that descend like a gang of hoodies – all pushing and shoving. Goldfinches are much more refined!

  4. Beautiful little birds – we used to see them regularly but sadly not these days 😦

They sure look different than ours. The ones here are bright yellow in the summer, and olive in the winter, and have little finch beaks.
