The turning year

It is so icy that the seagulls are on the lookout for food in the garden.

Usually they don’t visit our garden

Solstice Moon

Sadly, last night the lunar eclipse was hidden by cloud.

To-night, the moon peeped out briefly.

Bright blessing to you all.

Especially for Esther …

Pennisetum villosum

Esther is sad that no images have been here for a while

Thank you for the nudge Esther –

This is especially for you.

Taking time to really look

Somehow this year

I have forgotten to take “time out” to look

But have spent to much time being busy.

May Day – Beltane

How the year has turned.

I am not sure what happened to March …. or April

Signs of Spring

Hazel catkins – for me a sure sign that spring is just round the corner.

A Sheep

The sheep are down from the mountains because of the snow

This one – looked very fluffy

I thought perhaps she had been to the hairdresser!

She certainly seemed to be posing for the camera.

Good Walking Weather

We have had wonderful weather for walking –

Cold but bright.

So we have been up and down the prom a few times over the last few days.

And every day this little group of Oystercatchers is huddled on the tide line.

(I think they are Oystercatchers aren’t they?)

Imbolc – midway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.

Living here in this timeless landscape

I walk the ancient drovers road and feel close to the changing seasons and

The Turning Year.
